Frequently Asked Questions

Please see my commissions info page or contact me at lucinda@lclart.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Yes! I can provide a quote for the shipping cost.

Absolutely! But a good reference photo is very important, and I can advise on which are suitable for a portrait reference.

I can draw multiple pets on one portrait depending on the size. The options are available to view on my price list. If you would like more pets or a different size this is possible, so please contact me for a quote.

I love to draw other pets! So far I have drawn horses, birds, rabbits, a lizard, a few hamsters and even a cow. I am not currently offering people portraits but I may do in the future.

I am currently only able to take payment via bank transfer or PayPal.

I use mostly Faber Castell Polychromo pencils and some Caran d'Ache Luminance pencils as they are of some of the highest quality professional coloured pencils on the market. The surface is 300gsm hot-pressed acid free watercolour paper.

I use eco friendly presentation boxes which I send in a cardboard postal box. This reduces the risk of any damage occurring to the paper inside. For extra presentation and protection the paper is placed in a plastic sleeve against foam board, with acid free tracing paper to create a barrier between the colour and the plastic. A certificate of authenticity is included, and the wrapped portrait is finished with a satin bow. This means the portrait is ready to be gifted as it is if you wish.

12x16 and the larger sizes will be sent rolled, as this ensures they are best protected in the postal process. The paper is strong and they are undamaged by this process, especially if you take the artwork to a professional framer (which I highly recommend).

So far this packaging process has not resulted in any damage to any artworks sent.
